The very first Next-Gen CX-5s arrive in Brisbane

The very first Next-Gen Mazda CX-5s arrived in Brisbane yesterday ahead of the mid-size SUVs national launch.

A two week sea journey from Japan, the first Australian-spec Next-Gen Mazda CX-5s came off the Hiroshima production line in February.

With 50 allocated to launch activities, a total of 1,200 Mazda CX-5s will be in the country ahead of the on-sale date, spread across the country to meet initial showroom demand.

Australia’s favourite SUV for the last four years, pre-launch interest in the second-generation Mazda CX-5 has hit new highs.

“Never has Mazda seen such a response from potential buyers wanting information on a new vehicle,” said Mazda Australia marketing director Alastair Doak.

“Of the almost 100,000 people who have, so far, entered our competition to win a Next-Gen Mazda CX-5, over 33,000 registered their interest in the vehicle, and a staggering 45,000 want to be contacted directly from Mazda once it goes on sale.

“The Next-Gen Mazda CX-5 is a stunning vehicle and packed with advanced i-ACTIVSENSE safety technology; this forward interest is exciting for everyone at Mazda and across the Dealership network.”

Offered in five grades, including the new Touring spec, the Next-Gen Mazda CX-5 comes with a choice of three engine and two transmission types and is packed with a raft of new and carry over i-ACTIVSENSE safety technology.

Placing a priority on driver and passenger comfort, promising a quieter cabin and an even more enjoyable driving experience, the Next-Gen Mazda CX-5 includes G-Vectoring Control, the first of the SKYACTIV-VEHICLE DYNAMICS vehicle motion control technologies.

The Next-Gen Mazda CX-5 also features the efficient and lightweight SKYACTIV Technology, the impressive i-ACTIV AWD all-wheel drive system and the award-winning ‘KODO - Soul of Motion’ design language.
